"Resilience in Real Time: North St. Louis Tornado Response" is a StoryMap documenting RomoGIS' collaboration with LOVEtheLOU as GIS technologies and tools were introduced to support a community centered response effort after a natural disaster.
This StoryMap highlights the recovery efforts established by LOVEtheLOU which were supported by RomoGIS after a tornado devastated the St. Louis, Missouri in May 2025. This StoryMap details the step-by-step process that supported the community with the RomoGIS team and LOVEtheLOU team providing a central hub for resources and information. This project exemplifies how GIS can be used for environmental monitoring, emergency response and long-term recovery.

This web experience showcases RomoGIS and the Black Bottom Archives' efforts in preserving oral histories
Working with the Black Bottom Archives in Detroit, Michigan, RomoGIS team collaborated to develop a web experience to document, protect, and preserve archived and new history of Black Bottom and Paradise Valley. Preserving the oral histories and first hand accounts of these communities is crucial to celebrating and honoring the stories of past and current residents of Black Bottom and Paradise Valley. accessibility to food establishments throughout the City of Chicago. This web experience highlights over 120 historical sites in the Detroit region. This tool's interactivity redirects users to more information about any selected site illustrated on the map. The various actions allow users to explore the history in an interactive way with side-by-side comparison maps and street views of archived photographs. ecosystem of the City of Chicago and provides distinct stylization to represent the different communities throughout the city.

This dashboard showcases food ecosystem by Food Establishment License Type and City Grant & Programs in the City of Chicago. The interactivity of the dashboard encourages users to create side-by-side comparisons of different neighborhoods.
Working with the City of Chicago and the Greater Chicago Food Depository, RomoGIS team developed a dashboard to address accessibility to food establishments throughout the City of Chicago. This dashboard highlights the vast food ecosystem of the City of Chicago and provides distinct stylization to represent the different communities throughout the city. The dashboard visualizes food establishment license types, city funded grants and programs, catalytic investments, and public transportation routes in the city. This project exemplifies how GIS can be used for documenting food accessibility and food equity and beginning the conversation to provide more accessibility to all neighborhoods.
